BRIEF HISTORY – THE CITATION M2
The Cessna Citation M2 is the company’s smallest jet still actively being manufactured. The M2 is under the umbrella of the Cessna CitationJet series (Model 525). The first Model 525 was announced in 1989 and took to the skies for the first time in 1991. On March 30th, 1993, the first CitationJet was delivered. CitationJet’s base model was further developed into the CJ1 and M2 variations in the years to follow The CJ1 and M2’s paths diverged quite significantly after that. The CJ1 evolved into the CJ2, and kept growing from there. The M2 began production in September 2011 basing the M2 on the CitationJet family’s scrapped CJ1 version. Cessna completely updated and upgraded the M2 with a redesigned cabin and more fuel-efficient engines. The first prototype flew in 2012 and in 2013, the very first Citation M2 was delivered. Its strengths perfectly align with customers seeking increased speed, range, comfort, and amenities.

CABIN COMFORTS – CITATION M2
The Cessna Citation M2’s cabin has been completely overhauled from the ground up to be more practical, enjoyable, and efficient in every way. The M2 features a refreshment center just behind the cockpit. Plenty of room to store some light snacks and refreshments during your flight. The standard configuration includes a side-facing seat adjacent to a light refreshment center. The M2 has been outfitted with a solid door that makes its lavatory fully enclosed now. No more privacy curtains! Thank you Cessna! Another fantastic upgrade was a modification to the cabin windows that allows much more ambient light to wash throughout the cabin making it feel more spacious and open. The seats include retractable armrests to facilitate easy aisle movement when sitting and standing. Tilt, swivel, lateral, and fore/aft track adjustments are available on the four club seats. Folding tables on either side of the cabin can be extended between the pairs of facing club chairs. The cabin maintains a quiet 80 dB on average making noise canceling headphones a thing of the past. As with most modern business jets, you have full control of the cabin management system with your smartphone so you are able to adjust cabin lighting and temperature from your seat!  The M2’s passenger cabin incorporates touchscreen controls, Wi-Fi access, cabin speakers, and an optional XM radio. You can display a moving map on the M2’s cabin screen to keep track of your flight’s progress. There are also 110-volt AC power outlets on each of the sidewalls, beneath the worktable pockets. Additionally, USB charging connections and audio jacks are included. Each passenger seat is equipped with an air outlet, an LED reading light, and an oxygen mask located in the overhead compartment.

POWER AND PERFORMANCE – CITATION M2
The M2 is powered by two, recently redesigned, powerful rear-mounted Williams International FJ44-1Ap-21 turbofan engines. These engines offer 10-15% more thrust at cruise speeds as well as up to 5% more thrust in hot temperatures or at high altitudes (hot-and-high). Each engine generates 1,965 pounds of thrust. The Citation M2 climbs to FL 410 (Flight Level 410 = 41,000 feet) in 24 minutes which is 27 % faster than its closest competitor, outperforming the Embraer Phenom 100E by 53 knots (98 km/h).

FLIGHT DECK – CITATION M2
The Cessna Citation M2 pushes the limits of innovation and automation with its completely redesigned and updated flight deck.
