BRIEF HISTORY – FALCON 2000LXS

DASSAULT | F2000LXS | FALCON 2000LXS (2014-PRESENT)
The Dassault Falcon 2000 is a French business jet manufactured by Dassault Aviation’s Falcon family. It is a twin-engined, somewhat smaller version of the Falcon 900 tri jet with transcontinental range. It was the first private jet aircraft that Dassault designed without a physical model, it was completely digital. Dassault announced the Falcon X (later became the Falcon 2000) in 1989. Its development began in collaboration with Alenia and took its first flight on March 4th, 1993 and entered service in 1995. Since then, Dassault has been releasing countless upgrades and improvements starting with the Falcon 2000EX in 2003, the 2000EX EASy in 2004, the 2000DX in 2007, the 2000LX in 2009, the 2000S in 2011, and finally the 2000LXS in 2014.

CABIN COMFORTS – FALCON 2000LXS
The 2000LXS’s interior is roomy, sleek, and peaceful. The interior of the 2000LXS boasts one of the largest cabins in its category and is rated as generous and opulent in every manner. Regardless of the duration of the journey, travelers will be comfortable and connected.  Dassault has equipped the aircraft with cutting-edge connectivity and a user-friendly cabin management system. The cabin management system is compatible with the majority of devices, allowing for remote operation of the cabin. The Falcon 2000LXS has an interior width of 7 feet and 8 inches. This results in a cabin that is more spacious and appealing than the majority of its competitors. The 2000LXS has a maximum capacity of ten people for an eight-hour journey. Boasting  a completely flat floor, headroom is an impressive 6 feet 2 inches. As a result, the majority of passengers will be able to move comfortably throughout the cabin and while some even standing!Dassault was able to incorporate an incredible eighteen oversized windows, bathing the interior with ambient light. Strategically positioned adjacent to chairs, the windows ensure that each passenger has a clear line of view. Fresh air is continuously filling the cabin about every 2-3 minutes.   As a consequence, jet lag should be minimized on lengthy travels thanks to the low cabin altitude, fresh air, and library-quiet interior.

POWER AND PERFORMANCE – FALCON 2000LXS
The 2000LXS is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C engines that use innovative technologies for enhanced durability, reduced emissions, and lower operating costs, allowing the aircraft to consume up to 20% less fuel than competitors. Another financial advantage is the shorter time between overhauls.  The Falcon 2000LXS has a range of 4,000 nautical miles, unmatched efficiency, and the ability to land on small, problematic runways that other aircraft avoid. It can bounce between cities, trek continents, and over oceans, always improving passenger productivity.

FLIGHT DECK – FALCON 2000LXS
The Falcon 2000LXS features the industry’s most intuitive human-machine interface. The EASy cockpit is an intelligently designed, integrated, feature-rich avionics system that enables both pilots to operate as a team more effectively. It has set the standard for unparalleled situational awareness and coordination of flight planning. The flight controls are as fluid and sensitive as those on a fighter jet, allowing for effortless hand-flying and increased passenger safety and comfort. While this is the same avionics suite as the previous model it does have some upgrades. On the initial Falcon 2000, Dassault introduced HUD technology to commercial aviation. And the current model has another first for the industry: the FalconEye Combined Vision System. FalconEye delivers unmatched situational awareness to flight crews in all weather circumstances, day or night. It significantly increases the margin of safety for all airport operations, particularly at tough airfields with adverse surroundings, allowing for greater mission flexibility.FalconSphere is an all-in-one Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) software package that includes a plethora of capabilities that are tailored for each Falcon and enables pilots and flight operations to plan and manage their flights. This solution results in significant time and cost savings, as well as an increase in operational safety and efficacy, all while offering an unmatched user experience and comfort.
