BRIEF HISTORY – GLOBAL 6000

BOMBARDIER GLOBAL 6000 (2012-PRESENT)
The Global 6000 was created by Bombardier with the goal of “forgetting you’re in flight.” The Bombardier Global 6000 is the third variant from the family of Bombardier Global series. The original Bombardier Global was the Express that was announced in October of 1991 and delivered in 1998. The Global Express was a hugely successful Ultra Long Range Aircraft. On the strength of its success, Bombardier introduced a smaller Global 5000 on October 25th, 2001. Two years later they would go on to announce the Global Express XRS in 2003. Bombardier would replace the XRS with the Global 6000 updating the entire aircraft. The Global family series begins with the Global 5500 and ends with the Global 8000.The Global 6000 is a long-range aircraft capable of connecting any two sites in the world successfully. Featuring a very flexible wing, this aircraft gives a smooth ride amid turbulence — and throughout the flight. The Global 6000 began production in 2012 and delivered its first aircraft to a US-based fractional ownership program which quickly evolved into many fractional fleets making it their flagship aircraft. Another variant, Global 6500, would be released in 2020 and replace the Global 6000. Almost 300 Global 6000 were built and delivered while in production, an impressive number in the industry.

CABIN COMFORT – GLOBAL 6000

Ka-band technology is the most advanced available in the air (up to 15 Mbps). Furthermore, Ka-band has the greatest coverage and reliability.The private stateroom is located in the aft of the aircraft. This contributes to the “feeling of tranquillity” by providing a private retreat for rest and relaxation. POWER AND PERFORMANCE – GLOBAL 6000
The Global 6000 is powered by two top of the line Rolls-Royce BR710A2-20 turbofan engines that are rear mounted. Each engine is capable of producing up to 14,750 pounds of thrust. This allows the Global 6000 to take off on a runway at 6,476 feet and land at a distance of just 2,236 feet. Bombardier designed the Global 6000 to fly up to 6,000 nautical miles without refueling. The Global 6000 is capable of cruising at a top speed of 587 knots and reaching a maximum altitude of 51,000 feet while keeping the cabin pressure under 6,000 ft. If cruising at 45,000 feet the Global 6000 can maintain a cabin pressure of an impressive 4,500 feet! This will reduce if not eliminate the “jet lag” feeling from commercial aircraft.

The Global 6000 is outfitted with Bombardier’s innovative Vision flight deck which Bombardier boasts to be the most advanced avionics suite in a business jet.   The finest ergonomics and aesthetics give exceptional comfort and control for pilots.
