BRIEF HISTORY – GLOBAL 7500

BOMBARDIER GLOBAL 7500 (2018-PRESENT)
Bombardier Aviation (formerly Bombardier Aerospace) brought together some of the industry’s brightest minds to redesign one of its most popular Ultra Long Range Jets, the Global 6000, but boasting a larger cabin, greater range, and four unique cabin zones. The program was announced in October 2010 under the name Global 7000, but was delayed two years due to a wing redesign. It would ultimately be called the 7500. It first flew in November 2016, was certified in September 2018, and entered service in December of 2018 with a delivery to Stonebriar Commercial with a special ceremony held at its headquarters in Montreal. The Global 7500 has the greatest range of any in-production purpose-built business jet, with a range of 7,700 nautical miles. This provides the Global 7500 with the range to fly nonstop from London to anyplace in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, or the top of Australia. The Global 7500 set a new record for the longest mission flown by a production business jet in October 2019 —clocking in at a 17-hour trip from Sydney to Detroit, Michigan. Bombardier had also announced their Global 8000 project, based off of their 6000 series, boasting a 9,000 nm range however that program has seen significant delays.

CABIN COMFORTS – GLOBAL 7500
When it comes to the interior of the Bombardier Global 7500, every last detail has been meticulously examined and refined to ensure maximum comfort and functionality. To begin, the Global 7500 is equipped with a wing dubbed a technological marvel that not only provides the pilots with the highest level of control over the aircraft ever imagined, but also provides the smoothest ride conceivable. Bombardier has been able to achieve a cabin altitude of 5,680 feet when traveling at maximum altitude of 51,000 feet while maintaining a cabin altitude at 4,500 feet at its average cruise altitude of 45,000 feet.Bombardier’s Global 7500 boasts a class-leading spacious cabin, which measures over 6 feet tall, 8 feet wide, and almost 55 feet long. These proportions ease mobility throughout the cabin and accommodate the configuration of up to four distinct living areas, including a lounge / conference area, master bedroom with a king-size bed, a designated crew rest area, and a kitchen.  The Global 7500’s cabin contains twenty-nine extra-large windows to maximize natural light, which means the 7500 delivers some of the most natural light in comparatively, and each seat has a window to get lost in the endless vistas.

NUAGE CHAISE
A multipurpose place for meeting, eating, and lounging. The four-person table is ideal for an important meeting or a delectable lunch. With the addition of the special Nuage chaise, a first in business aviation, this area transforms into a tranquil space for reading or simply watching the world go by. The Nuage chaise lounge is a one-of-a-kind sitting solution that combines design and comfort.  It is a modular seat that contours to your body as a lounge chair and changes to a flat surface for sleeping or accommodating more guests at the table. Its basic appearance contributes to the cabin’s open feel, while its practicality provides remarkable adaptability for this area.

NUAGE SEAT
Each seat in the 7500’s cabin is a revolutionary Bombardier Nuage seat. The Nuage seat, according to Bombardier, is the first significant redesign in business jet seating in the past three decades. The Nuage seat has three unique elements not seen in any other business aviation seat: a tilt link system for a deep recline, a floating base for smooth movement, and a tilting headrest for outstanding support. Each of which provides superior support and comfort unlike any other before. The Global 7500’s entire cabin is illuminated by Bombardier’s Soleil lighting system, the industry’s first circadian rhythm-based lighting system designed to combat jet lag. By customizing the lighting to your destination (in conjunction with the low cabin altitude), you’ll suffer less jet lag than ever before. Bombardier went to extreme lengths to combat jet lag and increase comfort, they have truly excelled when you see its Master Suite with a king-size bed and an en suite lavatory with a stand-up shower, all of which is completely private, meaning no one walking through to use the aft lavatory. The 7500 is equipped with Bombardier’s Pur Air system, a state-of-the-art air purification technology that utilizes a HEPA filter to purify and clean the air. Not only can the system supply 100 percent fresh air, but also filtered air with a higher humidity level, which enables the cabin to be heated and cooled rapidly.

POWER AND PERFORMANCE – GLOBAL 7500
The Bombardier Global 7500 is powered by two impressive GE Passport engines that are rear-mounted, each of which is capable of producing 18,920 pounds of torque (37,840 lbs total). The Global 7500 is capable of reaching a maximum cruising altitude of 51,000 feet and a maximum cruise speed of 600 knots thanks to these incredibly engineered General Electric engines. The Global 7500 has a maximum range of 7,700 nautical miles, the longest of any purpose-built business jet currently available. The Global 7500’s GE engines enable it to take-off at a distance just under 5,800 feet — an incredibly short take-off distance given the aircraft’s total size, weight, and range once in the air!  Perhaps more astounding is the 7500’s ability to land in just 2,520 feet. Together with the remarkable steep approach capability, the Global 7500 is the largest business jet capable of landing at London City Airport. The GE Passport engine is especially unique as it is a unified propulsion system with enhanced health monitoring that provides superior dependability, improved efficiency, lower emissions, and lower maintenance costs as it was created exclusively for the 7500.

FLIGHT DECK – GLOBAL 7500
The Bombardier Global 7500 boasts one of the most modern and spacious cockpits available in business aviation. The 7500, equipped with Bombardier’s newest Vision flight deck, has advanced fly-by-wire technology, improved aesthetics, and a permanent side-facing jump seat. Bombardier’s renowned fly-by-wire system was created with the goal of maximizing safety through a balanced design that blends control input independence with the industry’s most comprehensive flight envelope protection. This will provide you greater peace of mind while flying under some of the most restrictive conditions.
