BRIEF HISTORY – GULFSTREAM G500

GULFSTREAM G500 (2018-PRESENT)
Since the GIV’s entrance into service in 1987, there have been a handful of variations over the years, the most recent being the Gulfstream G450, until now. The Gulfstream G450 entered service in 2004 and topped the charts for over a decade. In 2018, Gulfstream would release the updated variant of the G450, the G500, not to be confused with their larger GV that would be updated to the G600.Gulfstream debuted the G500 with the G600 in 2014. Both aircraft are ideal for consumers who demand plenty of capacity but do not require the extended range of the bigger G650ER or G700. Gulfstream will have delivered 92 G500 and G600 aircraft to clients by the end of 2020. The G500 has a range of 5,300 nautical miles and a capacity of 16 people. Gulfstream’s newest cockpit technologies and interior design are included on the G500. The clean-sheet Gulfstream G500 began deliveries at the end of 2018. The G500 has been dubbed “the most technologically sophisticated business jet in the heavy jet category.”

CABIN COMFORTS – GULFSTREAM G500
As is the case with all Gulfstream’s, the G500 is elegantly outfitted. All of the standard features found on long-range commercial aircraft are included. The G500 is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW814GA engines positioned at the rear. Each engine has a thrust capacity of 15,144 lb. This enables the G500 to cruise at a maximum altitude of 51,000 feet at 600 knots.The G500’s take-off distance is a minimum of 5,300 feet. Additionally, it is capable of landing at a minimum altitude of 3,100 feet. Gulfstream was able to develop the G500 to a maximum range of 5,300 nautical miles. This allows passengers to embark on a journey anywhere in the world with only one stop.
