Since the GIV’s entrance into service in 1987, there have been a handful of variations over the years, the most recent being the Gulfstream G450, until now. The Gulfstream G450 entered service in 2004 and topped the charts for over a decade. In 2018, Gulfstream would release the updated variant of the G450, the G500, not to be confused with their larger GV that would be updated to the G600.Gulfstream debuted the G500 with the G600 in 2014. Both aircraft are ideal for consumers who demand plenty of capacity but do not require the extended range of the bigger G650ER or G700. Gulfstream will have delivered 92 G500 and G600 aircraft to clients by the end of 2020. The G500 has a range of 5,300 nautical miles and a capacity of 16 people. Gulfstream’s newest cockpit technologies and interior design are included on the G500. The clean-sheet Gulfstream G500 began deliveries at the end of 2018. The G500 has been dubbed “the most technologically sophisticated business jet in the heavy jet category.”

As is the case with all Gulfstream’s, the G500 is elegantly outfitted. All of the standard features found on long-range commercial aircraft are included. To begin, the G500 features an incredibly spacious cabin. The lofty and spacious cabin offers plenty of room for wandering down the wide aisle. The aircraft is outfitted with a forward lavatory, fully equipped kitchenette, as well as an aft lavatory for your convenience. Seats have been completely redesigned for optimal comfort, allowing full articulation. There is an optional private state room at the rear of the aircraft that is completely secluded while including 4 large windows to make sure you don’t miss a thing!A tranquil environment is created by 100% fresh air, a maximum cabin height of 4,850 feet, and a cabin noise level of 50 decibels. This atmosphere is illuminated by fourteen of Gulfstream’s trademark oval windows. When these windows are combined, they give an abundance of natural light and expansive vistas of the world below. Combining these elements guarantees that you arrive refreshed and energized once at your destination.Passengers may manage lighting, temperature, and media from their seats using Gulfstream’s incredibly intuitive Cabin Management System. The chairs convert to lie-flat beds. As a result, the G500 is an ideal location for work, dining, and relaxation.

The G500 is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW814GA engines positioned at the rear. Each engine has a thrust capacity of 15,144 lb. This enables the G500 to cruise at a maximum altitude of 51,000 feet at 600 knots. The G500’s take-off distance is a minimum of 5,300 feet. Additionally, it is capable of landing at a minimum altitude of 3,100 feet. Gulfstream was able to develop the G500 to a maximum range of 5,300 nautical miles. This allows passengers to embark on a journey anywhere in the world with only one stop.

The intuitive availability to crucial data is reinforced by system redundancy to guarantee your safety and the safety of your passengers.  The G500 cockpit is equipped with Gulfstream’s latest technology, Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS). This enables approved pilots to land in low-visibility circumstances without using their normal eyesight. This technique improves airport access and reduces go-arounds.  Gulfstream’s Symmetry Flight Deck is standard on the G500, in fact, the G500 pioneered this flight deck. Active control side-sticks, ten touch-screen displays, and Phase-of-Flight intelligence are all included. These features improve pilot input, boost operational efficiency, and improve pilot safety.

The clean-sheet design Gulfstream G500 elegantly combines performance and comfort with ground-breaking technology. The G500 is equipped with high-thrust engines and a redesigned aerodynamic wing that enables smooth takeoffs and landings. Benefit from shorter runways and high-altitude airports, as well as increased efficiency and pollution reductions. The G500 reclaims time with a Mach 0.90 cruising speed. Reduced flying hours equates to overall savings to you. CharterJets Inc. features the newest and highest safety rated Gulfstream G500’s available. Reach out today to discuss your upcoming travel!
