BRIEF HISTORY – GULFSTREAM G700
GULFSTREAM G700 (2022-PRESENT)

The Gulfstream G700 is a variant of the record breaking G650 which started production back in 2012 as a clean-sheet design. It’s hard to truly understand the scale of the aircraft without having seen it in person. To try to put it in perspective for you, the wingspan of the G700 is 103 feet wide, that’s 3 feet wider than the runway in Aspen! And it is even ten feet wider than a Boeing 737!

Quickly after releasing the G650, Gulfstream would announce the G650ER in 2013 which is an “extended range” variant of the G650. It has increased fuel capacity enabling it to fly longer distances at higher cruising speeds. Four 2012 G650s were updated to the G650ER variants in 2014 and were delivered toward the end of the year, ahead of its projected completion date of 2015.

Gulfstream introduced their new flagship aircraft, the G700, on the evening prior to the NBAA Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas in October 2019. The G700 boasts an additional 10 feet of cabin length. With the fastest cruise speeds on the market at the highest altitudes with the largest and most technologically advanced aircraft Gulfstream has ever released, what’s not to love? Completing its first flight on February 14th, 2020

CABIN COMFORTS – GULFSTREAM G700
Gulfstream has built one of, if not the most impressive business jet to date. It boasts a cabin volume of 2,603 cubic feet (73.71 cu m) with a cabin height of 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m), a cabin width of 8 feet 2 inches (2.49 m), and the cabin length, not including the baggage compartment, is 56 feet 11 inches (17.35 m). Boasting five unique zones throughout the cabin for dining, conference calls, relaxing and streaming, sleeping, etc. The possibilities are endless in the world’s most connected and equipped business jet.

By imitating the sunshine of your next time zone, genuine circadian lighting gets you one step ahead of jet lag. The widest panoramic oval windows in business aviation, ultra-low cabin altitude, whisper quiet, and fresh air all contribute to optimal well-being. Jet ConneX Ka-band Wi-Fi is equipped and provides consistent high-speed coverage for all of your work and entertainment requirements. The handmade Gulfstream collection’s all-new chairs transform to ergonomic beds. The seats are strategically placed near their trademark oval windows and tactile cabin controls.

POWER AND PERFORMANCE – GULFSTREAM G700
At Mach 0.85, it has a range of 7,500 nautical miles (8,631 mi / 13,890 km), or 6,400 nautical miles (7,365 mi / 11,853 kilometers) at Mach 0.90. It features new winglets and is powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines. Customer deliveries began in early 2022.

It has a MTOW of 107,600 lb (48,800 kg), and the 18,250 lbf (81.2 kN) turbofans will burn 2-3% less fuel than the R-R BR725s on the G650. At MTOW, the plane should take off from a 6,250-foot (1,905-meter) runway and land at 2,500 feet (762 meters).

The basic operational weight increased from 54,500 to 56,000 pounds (24,700 to 25,400 kg), while the wet wing fuel capacity also increased by 1,200 pounds (540 kg). The Pearl 700 turbofan is a more powerful variant of the BR725, with a 3-5 percent improvement in thrust specific fuel consumption. It outperforms its competitor’s range of 7,700 nautical miles (14,300 kilometers) and reaches up to 7,800–8,000 nautical miles (14,400–14,800 kilometers).

FLIGHT DECK – GULFSTREAM G700
The G700 is outfitted with the same flight deck as the G500 and G600 the Symmetry Flight Deck, outfitted with active control side-sticks to increase visual and tactile input to pilots. Ten touch-screen displays and Phase-of-Flight intelligence improve operational efficiency and redundancy while providing users with quick access to crucial data.

Our Enhanced Flight Eyesight System (EFVS) allows qualified pilots to land in low-visibility conditions without relying on their natural eyesight, improving airport accessibility and reducing go-arounds. A Synthetic Vision-Primary Flight Display adds 3D renderings of topography and runways to a pilot’s situational awareness.
