HONDA | HA-420 | HONDAJET ELITE (2018-2021)

BRIEF HISTORY – HONDAJET ELITE
Decades ago development began on a Very Light Jet, the Honda HA-420 HondaJet, in 1986 as a top secret research project of Honda’s Research & Development team. Michimasa Fusion, the lead designer, was the first to develop the “HondaJet” moniker in 1997 and development began shortly after in 2000 when the engineering team moved to Piedmont Triad International Airport, (KGSO) Greensboro, NC. The proof of concept’s first flight took place in December 2003 and full production finally began in 2015 and was delivered on December 23rd, 2015. Since the first aircraft rolled out of the building, the Greensboro, North Carolina aircraft manufacturing company has produced close to 200 HondaJets by 2020! In 2018, Honda Aircraft Company introduced the HondaJet Elite with an upgraded flight deck, increased range, and optional galley. After that, the variant HondaJet Elite S was released in May 2021 by Honda Aircraft based in the United States with increased range and a 200 lbs MTOW increase.

CABIN COMFORTS – HONDAJET ELITE
The cabin has been built with passenger comfort in mind and has four fully adjustable leather seats configured in a traditional club layout. Additionally, it includes two fold-down executive tables, a side-facing fifth seat, and three electronically dimmable windows. The cabin has been built with passenger comfort top of mind and has four fully adjustable leather seats configured in a traditional club layout. It includes two fold-down executive tables, a side-facing fifth seat, and three electronically dimmable windows. All HondaJets provide a fully enclosed private lavatory with a flushing toilet and an optional cobalt-blue wash basin as standard. While you are there, do not forget to look up and check out the skylight. On some aircraft, they will be outfitted with a refreshment center near the flight deck for your convenience.

POWER AND PERFORMANCE – HONDAJET ELITE
The jet’s maximum take-off weight has been boosted by 200 lbs, allowing it to travel an additional 137 miles with more payload or passengers. The aircraft’s total stowage capacity is 66 cubic feet, with 57 cubic feet in the aft compartment and 9 cubic feet in the nose compartment. The fuselage is constructed entirely of composite materials, which makes it lighter and stronger, allowing the business jet to fly higher and consume less fuel. The engines are positioned just beneath the wing to minimize aerodynamic shockwaves and boost the aircraft’s peak speed. Additionally, the over-the-wing arrangement provides additional externally accessible luggage capacity in the nose and aft, as well as a noise-free cabin space for a more comfortable ride.  The natural laminar flow on the main wing and fuselage is meant to ensure a smooth airflow across the aircraft’s surface, reducing air resistance and increasing range, fuel efficiency, and speed.

FLIGHT DECK – HONDAJET ELITE
The Elite S’s ergonomic cockpit and unique avionics package based on the Garmin G3000 are standard. Advanced avionics enhance communication efficiency and minimize the pilot’s workload. The current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Data Communications (Data Comm) standard and Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) avionics capabilities facilitate efficient communication by substituting text-based messages for traditional voice orders. It may be used for departure clearance, en route services, and air traffic services. Historically, controllers and pilots spoke using radio voice to provide clearance and other flying information to pilots.

CHARTER A HONDAJET ELITE
The HondaJet Elite outperformed all other business jets in its class in terms of speed upon its release. The HondaJet Elite has a range slightly over 1300 nautical miles, which makes it the class’s longest-range aircraft. This is feasible because the Elite’s revised aerodynamics and higher fuel capacity optimize range for longer excursions. Boasting reduced cabin noise improves overall comfort while the HondaJet Elite also flies higher than its competition at 43,000 feet, above the weather and most of the traffic. CharterJets Inc. features the newest and highest safety rated HondaJet Elite’s available. Reach out today to discuss your upcoming travel!
