BRIEF HISTORY – PRAETOR 600

EMBRAER S.A.- EMB-550 – PRAETOR 600 (2019-PRESENT)
The Latin word “Praetor” can be traced back to its root meaning “to lead,” or “the one who goes first.” And the Embraer Praetor 600, a Super Midsize business jet, certainly lives up to its moniker as an aircraft that shatters conventional thinking and is a leader in innovation in aviation. Embraer’s first Super Midsize Jet, the Legacy 500, was first delivered on October 11th, 2014 to a Brazilian company. The Legacy 500 quickly became one of the most popular jets on the market. In September 2018, Brazilian business jet manufacturer, Embraer Executive Jets, introduced a variant improving upon the Legacy 500, the Praetor 600. Less than a year after the announcement, June 28th, 2019, Embraer delivered the first Praetor 600 to its European customer. CABIN COMFORTS – PRAETOR 600
The Praetor 600 is stated by Embraer to be “the world’s most disruptive and technologically advanced Super Midsize business jet”. POWER AND PERFORMANCE – PRAETOR 600
Honeywell’s HTF7500E engines power the Praetor 600 with 7,528 lbs. thrust each. This allows the airplane to take off at only 4,436 feet. The Praetor 600 can also utilize a runway as short as 2,270 feet. A maximum range of 4,018 nautical miles may be achieved using this method. The aircraft’s maximum take-off weight (MTOW) is 42,858 lbs.The HTF7005E engines reduced its NO2 emissions thanks to Honeywell’s innovative SABER (single annular combustor for emissions reduction) technology. To decrease CO2 emissions and operational costs, the HTF7500E integrated industry-leading technology with an efficient engine design that minimized overall fuel consumption making this one of the most efficient jets on the market. The Praetor 600 has the only Active Turbulence Reduction system in the Super Midsize jet category. FLIGHT DECK – PRAETOR 600
In the cockpit of the Praetor 600, the latest Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion flight deck has been installed. The flight deck’s utilitarian design reduces the pilot’s workload preventing pilot fatigue and increasing pilot focus. It also has high-definition monitors that provide the crew with navigation information. Fly-by-wire and side-stick controls are standard on the Praetor 600 which increases overall flight comfort and pilot control.Using the Praetor 600’s, world’s first, Synthetic Vision Guidance System (SVGS), pilots can perform in-flight operations such as effortless takeoffs and landings, as it helps the pilots see what their human eyes cannot. With only 1,300 feet of Runway Visual Range (RVR) visibility, the SVGS is capable of autopilot-flown Instrument Landing System (ILS) approaches up to 150 feet above touchdown.
